Isolations and reinstatements of existing connections may be a better option for repairs to your installation and/or for property maintenance.

WHAT’S INVOLVED

If you’re painting the exterior, reroofing, or renovating your home that requires work within 4m of overhead service lines, you’ll need to apply for an Orion close approach consent.

Orion will include perimeters within their close approach documentation specifying distances and a reduction allowance (generally between 1-1.5m).

Please note: if neighbouring properties are all fed off the same connection point (pole), they will also experience an outage when we are conducting these works. We will require their written approval via email stating that they are happy for the outage to occur.
