ELECTRICIAN And/OR LINE MECHANIC DISTRIBUTION

We bridge the gap between electrical installation and the electricity distribution business to keep Canterbury connected. From isolations and reinstatements to network work and temporary/permanent connections, we are approved by all metering-approved test houses in Canterbury, including works on the Orion network.

Owned and operated by electrical inspectors for almost 30 years, we have an exceptionally high level of industry knowledge and technical understanding of network connections. Our in-field and management teams are competent and qualified, allowing us to build, inspect, connect, meter, and liven.

  • Providing in-field electrical services work and the delivery of services and project management requirements, including but not limited to:

    • Isolations and reinstatements of overhead network lines

    • Decommissions of ICPs via overhead and underground network connection points

    • Overhead to underground conversions of service mains to existing ICPs

    • Connection/network alterations, including network new builds to create network connection points for new or existing ICPs

    • Temporary power supplies for new development/building sites

    • Service installations including water, fibre and power

    • A requirement to be able to work at heights – ladder and pole climbing

    • Ensuring the delivery of services and project management requirements as requested

    • Ensuring a strict sense of health and safety compliance, ethics, confidentiality, and professional service delivery

    • Responding to the changing environment of the electrical contracts and services we offer

    • Strong and concise communications directly with customers, suppliers, property owners, and sub-contractors

    • Exceptional time management skills and proactive problem-solving skills

    • Being a New Zealand citizen – note: you must currently reside in New Zealand to apply for this role

    • A New Zealand electrical registration and a valid practising license

    • Knowledge of all relevant industry rules and regulations

    • A New Zealand full and clean driver’s license

    • Being computer and app-based literate

    • Work vehicle and mobile

    • Supplied protective clothing and equipment as per industry requirements

    • From time to time there may be a requirement to work additional hours
